Workshop and Tutorial Proposal

Workshops and Tutorials are organized as educational sessions that deliver practical, up-to-date guidance for newcomers while providing valuable updates for experienced professionals. These sessions will also delve into specific topics in greater depth to support advanced learning and technical development in High-Power Electromagnetics (HPEM) and Electromagnetic Security Technologies.

Suggested Topic Areas (including but not limited to)
  • HPM sources, effects, and system integration
  • EMP/IEMI threat modeling, measurement, and mitigation
  • Protection and hardening of platforms and critical infrastructure
  • EM environment characterization, standards, and testing methods
  • Modeling & simulation workflows for HPEM/EM security
  • Emerging applications in defense, communications, transportation, and energy
Proposal Preparation
Prospective organizers are invited to submit proposals that include:
  1. Session Title
  2. Session Description (scope, objectives, audience, and relevance to GlobalEM)
  3. Expected Number of Speakers and Tentative Topics (a list of possible speakers is encouraged)
  4. Organizer(s) Information (name, affiliation, and contact details)
  5. Any Additional Information or Special Requests (e.g., hands-on format, equipment needs, duration)

Your proposal should clearly address the category, objective, content, originality, and timeliness of the session, as well as its anticipated impact on the HPEM and EM-security communities and beyond.

Submission & Deadline
Please complete the Workshops/Tutorials Proposal Form and send it to the Workshops & Tutorials Chairs no later than Jan. 1, 2026 Feb. 3, 2026, 11:59 p.m. (KST, UTC+09:00)

Due to limited session availability, not all proposals can be accepted.

Template: A downloadable Workshops/Tutorials Proposal Form will be provided on the GlobalEM 2026 website. If you need the template in advance, please contact the Chairs.

After Acceptance
  • Speaker Registration: All speakers in accepted Workshops/Tutorials are required to register for GlobalEM 2026.
  • Logistics & Schedule: Detailed instructions on room setup, A/V, and scheduling will be communicated following acceptance.
  • Materials: Organizers may be asked to provide tutorial notes or hands-on materials for participants.
